Privacy and data use

Attunica LLC provides this notice for the Attunica practice product. It supplements the company's Privacy Policy with details about simulated-practice features. Do not enter real client information or other identifiable sensitive information into Attunica.

Information we handle

• Account information, such as your name, email address, sign-in provider, role, organization or cohort membership, and sign-in activity.
• Cohort and authoring content, such as Modules, Avatars, scenarios, assignments, rubrics, instructions, and Instructor feedback.
• Practice content, such as Session details, microphone audio, live and saved transcripts, AI-generated responses and formative Feedback, reflections, selected clips, and comments. A Session may also include a recording when recording is offered and you choose it.
• Technical and service information, such as IP address, browser and device information, cookies, request timing, service events, and identifiers needed to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the product.
• Interest and support information, such as an email address submitted to the interest list and information you send when asking for help.

How we use information

We use this information to authenticate users, provide cohorts and Sessions, generate simulated conversations and formative Feedback, save work, support authorized Instructor review, secure and troubleshoot the service, and respond to support requests.

AI and service providers

Attunica uses service providers for hosting, databases, sign-in, real-time audio and video, speech processing, AI-generated conversation and Feedback, avatar rendering, and support. These providers may receive the account identifiers, prompts, cohort context, audio, transcripts, generated output, and technical information needed to perform their services. AI output can be incomplete or inaccurate and should be reviewed by a person.

Recordings and transcripts

Live transcript text may differ from the saved conversation used for Feedback. When a Session offers recording, Attunica presents a recording notice and choice before the Session begins. Recording choices apply to product use only and do not authorize research. Do not record another person without the permissions required where you are located.

Cookies and browser storage

Attunica uses cookies and browser storage to keep you signed in, complete sign-in, remember product state, and protect the service. Blocking required cookies may prevent sign-in or other product features from working.

Who can access information

Learners can access their own practice work. Authorized Instructors can access information for their cohorts and assigned learners. Authorized administrators, service operators, and providers may access information when needed to operate, secure, support, or administer the product.

Research is separate

Attunica's research program is not active in this product. Creating an account, joining a cohort, completing a Session, or choosing Session recording does not enroll you in research or authorize research use. Any future research participation would require a separate notice and choice.

Retention, deletion, and questions

Retention and deletion can differ by data type and by the providers involved. An account deletion or privacy request may not immediately remove copies held in backups or by service providers.
